First of all: I love your mods and i really appreciate your work Arnie. Thank you very much for everything you do to improve our game experience. And then i have the following problem: Since the mod is broken, i took it out of my mods folder but when i try to go with my sims to the hospital, they still end up in Brookheights and i'm not even able to bring them back home. I used a save file created for the play with Brookheigths. So do i have to start a new save file, so i can play normally? It would be a pity since i used this file to develop storyplay so far. Can someone maybe help me with this? I would really appreciate it.

Take out the « Brookheights FullBuild » from your /Mods folder and the save file from your /saves folder, go to Origin, right click on The Sims 4, and choose repair game. Your game will download the previously replaced files and go back to normal. This was in the guide and also on Discord.)

Hey Abigail, did you delete the localthumbcache.package found in your Sims 4 Folder on your computer after downloading this mod? I try to always delete this after downloading a huge mod. This might actually solve your problem, and it is safe to delete. The game will regenerate a new one whenever it is loaded up. If you are still hesistant, you can always google this and see it will be okay. :) .. After I replied, i googled this and found this to be an awesome resource for you! Hey. Have you looked into your back up saves? You can watch a video on youtube for a better explanation. The Sims 4 automatically generates usually 3 or sometimes 4 backup saves of each specific family save slot you see in your game when you go to load one and play. This will be found in your directory for Sims 4 on your computer. Just make sure your game is not running while going through this. I included the instructions below. For one save, I often click "Save As" for this reason because it creates more backups of the families that I definitely don't want to lose if something was to go wrong with a patch update or a mod interference. I also don't feel like clicking "New Game" every time i want to create a different family.. Did you just have one save for all your gameplay and use that to create all your families? Also, when you want go to save, do you click "Save" or "Save As"? It's important to create a new "Save As" name for each family you play. I do it whenever something big is going to happen, but at least once a day for each of my families. Don't worry about your computer being overloaded with backups because the game deletes the one that has been used the least - or the oldest save slot of that family which is not going to be a big deal because you got three others which are the closest to your current progress anyways.I Go to My Documents. 2. Open the Electronic Arts folder. 3. Find The Sims 4 folder. 4. Right-click on it and choose Copy. 5. Go to your Desktop. 6. Right-click on a free space and choose Paste. 7. Right-click on the copied folder and choose Rename. 8. Change the name of the folder to something you'll remember, like Sims 4 Backup. After this, I would read go here: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/backups/ << that site explains everything so much better than I am and that is how I learned to do all this. Also, it explains how to recover old save games. I hope that helps.

I have a bit of a different problem. I got it to load just fine, gameplay is the problem. Since Brookheights is set as a job, it functions just like a travel spot, not them actually moving, this means I can't get any visitors to come to the home in brook heights, they go to willow creek, if someone has a date, their date goes to willow creek. I can't do any of the home services, maid, etc. because I am constantly labelled at work. What do I do to move my family to brook heights instead of work there?

I've done manual upload/auto of both versions and looked up so much information. I even tried saving all of my CC to my gallery to reload and now I can't find my CC households. Hi guys, my plane ride to the secret world isn't working. Do both Amelia and Amos need to be alive for it to work? Because she passed and I usually find unexpected tragedies more fun so I continued gameplay as is....but now I'm not sure if I messed up the bookheights gameplay itself since I've been trying to book a plane for a couple of hours now. Hi! So, I installed 1.1 and Open World after a failed attempt last month, which messed up my original game even after backing up my game. Now with the new installs, my original games are still there, there's beautiful load screens, I see the options through the mailbox to travel to Brookheights, but I can't find the Brooks family! The house that they are supposed to be in won't show up. HELP!

Yes...you have to have at least "get to work" but you really need city living, too. I believe, though, that you wont have to have those pretty soon, but Im not sure.

I was having this issue myself...I ended up removing all my existing mods in separate folder, removed both Brookheights and un installed sims plus origin (my origin is clashing with paragon and wont boot sometimes so decided to clear that problem at same time). I reinstalled origin then sims then I added my priority mods being brookheights first. I tested it with just brook and my sim was finally able to swim out to the boat. I then followed up with adding top priority mods (tool ui mc command etc). So far Ive reinstalled all my mods and my sims are still swimming. It was tedious and time consuming but at least I fixed the problem. Now I have the issue of all of Brook not importing sigh. I only get half the map which i finally gave up and accepted defeat lol. In fact Im spending the time building my own city sigh

Hey Arnie! What amazing work!! I used the auto install .exe file and see the story mode showing up but must not have all the packs installed per your troubleshoot because I did receive an error "Game Data Incomplete" and playing could impact my game. However, when I click on any mailbox in another world there is not an option to "visit Brookheights-cheat". Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

Hey Ashley! I hope you find your way indeed! If you can't find the picture on the wall you can put it yourself from the catalogue in Build/Buy Mode! Let me know if this works! But I am thinking that maybe you could be running TS4 Legacy.. Is your game up to date? And if you used the auto-installer and play in another language than English, make sure that the "BROOKHIGHTS FULL BUILD" folder is in the appropriate Mods folder of yours and that Mods are activated in the options of the game! Hi, I think I am just being old and a bit dim - I tried joining the discord chat but couldn't see where to post, sorry! I am trying to play the Brookheights world on another save file. I thought I had managed to import the world - the screen populated with lots of buildings etc. and I can walk around the area, but nothing is active apart from the hospital. Hello! I have been playing with this for DAYS! I have tried the auto installer and manual installer. Seemingly done everything correctly. I do not have the option at the mailbox, and in story mode the family photo is just not in the house. The sims and the house load fine, family photo literally just missing. My next step is too move all my previous mods to another folder and just do the brookheights mod to see if theres any interaction. My only "error code" is the one saying I do not have all packs; I do however have the necessary ones and a lot of extras. Thanks for any advice!

Hey there! Brookheights is a hidden world, there is one loading screen to get there, but once you are there, there are no more loading screens between all of them. Use the auto-installer and click on the mailbox to get the cheat and visit this world :) xoxo

Yes! Brookheights 2.0 will be moved to the empty Newcrest neighbourhood I created for world edit. That way it won't override the police/hospital lots, it will be visible from the map view so you will be able to move in some sims in Brookheights and manage the households! :)

Not entirely sure how much of this is working or not. Mailbox option to teleport to brookheights doesn't seem to work cause it shows no button for it. When trying the save game story mode I spawn in what seems like a new area (I haven't actually played the game much so I don't know for sure), but there's no airport, city, car dealership, or any sort of open world mechanic at all. I still have to go through loading screens to move between areas.

Yes! Same thing happens to me all the time when I want to follow my sim to the doctors! I end up in Brookheights and cant spot my sim anywhere. I did the whole repair game thing but I somehow still have an older beta version stuck in my mods that I cant figure out and I want to uninstall the whole thing :((

When I download the auto version, where do I put that file? In my mods folder or the world save folder? I don't think I put it in the right folder because when I click on my mailbox, it does not even give me an option of Brookeheights even though my mods and cc is on and activated in the game. Hopefully there is only one folder to have to put it in.

I downloaded the zip file and added all the files correctly following the Brookheights tutorial. However, when I go to click on the game in the load game file it takes me a new game and displays a window that only says "Not all game data could be loaded. The save game references neighborhoods that have been installed or otherwise are no longer available." I'm not sure why this has happened since I did everything correctly upon installation. I even double checked each file to confirm I did it correctly.

I cant zoom all the way out and see the whole open world. Is it because I don't have all of the sims games citys and packs?

Infinite load screen when I try to visit brook heights from the “story mode” save file. So I tried to play BH in one of my existing files - only some buildings download, no apartments, can’t use the cars and my sim disappears a lot. This wasn’t ready for public.

Is the problem fixed where the sim just disappears when you enter Brookheights? I couldn't move my sim or go anywhere. Or even zoom far away from my sim. I hope it's fixed pleease?

Hi arnie. I imported Bh without issue. My only issue is finding the default lot that goes next to the hospital so i can have the apartments. If I download from the library, it tries to overwrite the hospital. If i try going i through build mode while on lot, I can find each building except the one with the bar. I watched video. It is straightforward but I can't find the unit. Help please.

I couldn't get mine to work either, even though I put each piece in the appropriate folder. I just wish you did not have to do so much in order to install it. I wish I could just put it all in my mods folder instead of having to put some in the world folders, then mods folder, then this folder or that. It is very confusing.

There are not invisible, there are by the side of airplane. You just need to restart your sims using MCCC, this work for me and all works well.

I hope we could have some answer somehow because I have been unable to play since the beginning. My sims is invisible in the city and I am not able to move her anywhere. We are a lot of people having the same issue. Anybody found the solution? Because we have no support since it all came out and I am about to sadly unsubscribe myself if we can't play and/or have no answer of what it is going on for several days in a row. I understand that Arnie you must be very busy but at the end of the day we are the one who pay for this and there is some big issue that need to be addressed whether you have a solution or not...

Awsomesims I love your work... but check out JayNasty_OnTheMic watch video closey on the upper right corner you will see and arrow pointing down that is the download click on that but watch her video ...that was what I didn't click on and load didn't work . Afterwords start game BrookHeights will be in Load files . I hope this helps ...

Uninstalled the mod, deleted the cache files and repaired my game. Everything is back to normal now. It's a pity but i hope this can be fixed in future. Apart from this i really love this amazing creation.

I was really looking forward for this but after installing the mod i always experience some kind of issues. So this time all of the food stands and stalls in my game became fresh markets. I am not able to order food anymore, instead there is only the option to 'buy vegetables and fruits'. Have someone maybe found a solution for this problem?

you have to make a copy of your mods and saves folder before manually installing.

I did the auto and manual install. The biggest issue I'm having is all my previous games are gone. Is this something that is supposed to happen either way? I see my saved files in the folder, but their not working in the game.

There is no fix yet, a lot of people have the same issue since it all came out. Unfortunately there is no follow up around this issue as up today. I too have a lot of issue since it all started. I thought with the first official release everything will be fix but it is actually worst. I lost all my saves game and uninstall and reinstall everything several time and nothing works. It sucks..

I've tried to play Brookheights for sooo long and I'm getting so frustrated. When I cheat and go to Brookheights my sim is literally nowhere. I can't move her, see her or go anywhere. And I Can't even zoom far away from the place my sim is supposed to be. How can I fix this problem? I've tried to reinstall and it doesn't help. Arnie or someone who could help, pleaase. I just want to get to play. :/

I figured it out lol. For the people who wants their custom sim to explore brookeheights, load up your saved sim and when going into the world screen, click your sims lot/ take the current sim you want and save it to your library, it will save your sim's stats keep their job etc, then load Brookeheights save file. When you get to the world screen, move your sim that you saved to your library to an empty lot in willow creek, then use the mailbox cheat and you will arrive at the airport! You're welcome! hehe!

Im having these problems: 1. I tried installing with the exe first. then i tried to cheat and go via mailbox. My sim was invisible and refuses to move or do anything. I was able to make him go home though. 2. I thought maybe I had to do story mode first to 'unlock' it, that worked ok till I needed to swim and the sims cannot swim or visit the boat. 4. I tried to "repair" on the exe installer and retried 2&3 but no change. 5. uninstalled brookheights and installed it manually 6. attempted story mode again but still cannot swim 7. attempted to import the lite (in my normal save) via the mailbox/import at the hospital (I tried for a long time going to the edge but then found the button on a building and did it there) the import only worked about half, new things imported but the hospital remained half covered up. Sim can walk around a little but nothing available to do except whats inside the hospital still. 8. tried to go back to the brookheights save and cheat with mailbox to go back to brookheights: sim still invisible and cant move.

i also cant get 3d map to work even though i used auto installer

help, I am able to get to Brookheights but once my sim is there I can not go to any of the stores, car shop, anything. I can only access the big open lot in the center

Can we us run the mods in this one or do we turn them off still

Hey Arnie :) Thank you again! So it finally worked for me, I was able to download it. However, please note that when my sims go into Brookheights, it is invisible and I cannot control her whatsoever. I believe we are a few people that have the same issue. Also note that my game is fully fresh, I fully re-installed my game today so it is for sure not something in my mods. Let me know :) Thank you !

I sent my sim to Brookheights thru the mailbox, but when I get there, my sim is invisible and he won't do anything or go anywhere. Since he is invisible I can't reset him either. Have to go out to manage worlds and have a sim in his family to invite to hang out at his home lot to get him to come back. Very annoying.

Good day Arnie! Thank you very much for all your hard work. Unfortunately, mine had my original game/saves to crash and had to uninstall all my sims and install it again so I could play a game. Now that I have started over, I was going to download Brookheights and play only from there but unfortunately it says that too many people have downloaded this file and cannot be downloaded for at least 24h. Is it normal??

For some reason I am unable to load brookheights at all it keeps telling me to relaunch the game. I have downloaded all of the previous verisons and replaced them but it still doesn’t work

Switch control back to your other sim and bring them to brookheights using the mailbox too! You'll have to do each separately. For pets, I'm trying out the selectable pets mod to see if that works, haha

Kendall, if you are using a Mac read my above post to Arnie and try putting your CAMERA SYSTEM File in the correct directory. I hope this works!

Just a heads up: in the new install instructions for Mac, you have the 'camera system' going into the same file as 'the worlds.' - CAMERA SYSTEM place the content of this folder in :Macintosh HD/Applications/ Right click on The Sims 4.app and choose « Show Package Contents »/Contents/Delta/EP01/Worlds/Areas (instead of how it was in the Beta install instructions) - CAMERA SYSTEM place the content of this folder in Macintosh HD/Applications/ Right click on The Sims 4.app and choose « Show Package Contents » /Contents/Res. Since I have installed the previous BETA versions, and they worked, I believe these new instructions are an oversight. If not, please let us know. I don't want people installing the camera incorrectly and not being able to play this new version. If I'm off about this, just ignore! Again, thanks so much for all your hard work!
