So in order for me to play Brooksheight Open World I have to pay for the Get To Work & City Living Pack ?

Oh ok you have to go to your documents->electronic arts->sims 4, and delete the sims 4 folder repair the game and start the game without the mods. After you have started your game get out of it and re-install the mod

You probably installed the camera files incorrectly

You have to play with the sims already in it, but you can turn on the cheats. After you turn on the cheats you can put the “cas.fulleditmode” in and you can delete those sims and make your own household.

I downloaded the mod and everything was working perfectly fine until I tried to buy a car. I would select the car make the quantity one, and click the checkmark but nothing came out in my inventory.

So... I can get to Brookheights now, but it looks like a first-person view and i can't seem to interact. I had a quick look at the troubleshooting info on the PDF, but even after setting everything to low res and clearing out a bunch of cache, it's still not working. Thoughts? I'm on a mac powerbook,

That fix is in the guide that led you to the DL link. If you don't have an expansion you are just fine. The game will just let you know that you will be missing some objects. It's ok. :)

Soo.. do you have to have all the expansion packs for this to work or does it work in the base game? I can get to everything except the boat because I don't have access to the Promenade. Also, the cheat to get to Brookheights doesn't seem to be working. It just spins on the load screen or brings me to the list of worlds.. of which this is not one.

Read the instructions, it gives both PC and MAC installations. 30 years as an IT support technician, and this is why we hate apple products. There are distinct clear instructions for both types. You are reading the PC installation instructions. LOOK FOR MAC INSTALL.. :) Good Luck!

if you have a digital download like all my Sims 3 stuff, game, and extra expansions through EA a disc isn't necessary. The only time that's an issue is if it's a cracked installation that doesn't look for a disk or cracks the DRM of the game. It works fine with disc versions too, the only difference is the way they install, it can be run any legal disc or dgitial download that's legal.

Hiya !! The apartment with the pool there is no bed loaded, I can see the space created because of the end tables however no bed. So I go into build mode , however when I place the bed down it says 'script failed'. How can I fix this, is it because I maybe have a pack missing?

You can only access Brookheights when you're playing with the save file for it (via the download), from any other save file the game will take you to the hospital.

I noticed an issue today. So when i put the Brookheights folder inside my mods folder, i am not able to view a sim's profile in the left corner. The option is not even there. I suspected other mods at first, but its is definitely this one. The profile/ sentiment panel is not showing up. Did someone experience similar problems?

The same way you installed it. I always back up my sims folder and add new mods one at a time to make sure there are no issues. the stand-alone package goes in a new mod folder so I can pull out the new mods if there is a problem. You will need to remove the Brooklyn heights, save your lots and households first and then repair the game if you didn't backup your folder

you need to remove all the "mods" and then repair your game via origin. pretty sure, he has a thread on it somewhere.

When I extract the items in the zip folder, the only thing that comes out is a "__MACOSX" folder that just has the pdf file, then when I go down to the download link, it just brings me to the same ZIP file and it turns into a cycle.

Yeah. But luckily I haven't put hardly any time in the last version because I would have hated to spend a lot of time redecorating the apartment and having a job just to be deleted and having to start over. Hopefully when the last version comes we don't have to start over.

Hi Allie, there must be a gliche, my picture of the family disappeared and then nothing would take me to brookheights until I went to the hidden world, you can find it on the brooks home lot, that funky looking tree, view it water nuture it until you can go to glade, the plane you need will be there. click on it and follow instructions.

So I followed the story mode and my sims got on the plane to BH. It then took me to the Worlds map so I went to my sims and it says that they're currently in BH, but how do IIIII get there?

I think that just means you're missing a pack or cc or something. The game will still work.

Literally just started and had no clue how to do story mode lol. Right now I'm sad cuz there's no restaurant and I don't know how to edit the world yet.

If your computer has enough RAM and Storage space for this Mod, then I'd say download it. If your system has trouble processing the Mods/CC you already have, then I'd say take some out if you really want to play this. My computer has 16gb of RAM and 265gb of Storage. I also have over 40gb of CC, and Adobe Creative Cloud + all of its apps that are worth multiple Gigs combined. Right now, I have a slow Sims 4 start up but once the game actually loads, I can play with only some lag. I took ALL my mods/CC out and put them in an external hard drive to see if it would do better, it did. But also, Sims 4 loading screens are long anyways. So the amount of lag I experience with my Mods folder installed doesn't bother me as much as it would to some users, I look at it like I have to wait to play anyways bc of Maxis/EA/Origin systems, So I may as well wait and have my beautiful CC to play with too. I guess what you will do will be dependent on how patient you are and if you computer has the capacity to run both this mod, Sims 4 and your CC folder.

Downloaded today, when open game it says "game data incomplete" I followed at the steps in the video.

I usually delete the files and then go to origin to repair my game which causes my game to make replace the file with the original.

I love it, however I am constantly having lag. It takes like 3 sims hour to just walk across the street. I had to redo the kitchen in the apartment to make it useable. The scenes are nice. I tried many momentum moments like proposal at the ice skating rink, proposal at the drive in. It would have been epic but the lag was a hindrance to me. I love the world. My gameplay is focused around Amos and custom sim who don't really like each other at first, but then they become good friends. They are both into music. Amos is a trackmaster and other sim a singer songwriter who bring their semi famous selves to Brookheights and gradually they fall in love over music in the big city. It would work smoother if I could figure out how to remove the lag.

My sims are unable to get in the water to get to the boat in Magnolia . The water seems to be pixelated and im unable to interact with it in any way and anytime i ask to sim to use the ladder to get in the water they end up waving their arm around and cancelling it command

This is great, but I was playing the other day and my sim who's a vampire was going into labor and I was sent to brook heights. I'm guessing she was supposed to deliver at the clinic, but she and her husband just stayed by the airport until I made them run to the clinic. After awhile, nothing happened, even with the nurse being present. I don't know if it's a glitch or a conflicting mod, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

While I am in the story mode, when I need my sim to inspect the boat, they can't get over to it and there is no option to swim towards the boat, I also tried the cheat to Brook heights and it say's missing game data even when I followed all the download steps correctly. Please help.

I installed it on a vanilla Sims 4, and I'm missing the plane in the airport..

Ive downloaded the game exactly as said but every time I get on the plane to travel to brookheights, it'll say launch failed, please relaunch the game.

if you want to remove the world, I usually just delete the world files and hit "repair" on origin so it makes a new file. I'm pretty sure that would work. I would also keep the original files just incase.

I copied my whole sims 4 game to an external hard drive to save everything, just in case, before I downloaded the first version. And then I only copied my save file over for this new download version because that was the only file that had anything new in it.

Did you try clicking on the mailbox and using the cheat to get to Brookheights? The plane is kinda iffy atm. Just use the cheat.

That's an installation issue. You should remove the mod, repair the game on Origin and try installing again. Just be sure to take your time and read through the instructions thoroughly. It's does work. I promise :)

It is not an actual world right now where u can live and build- it's a bit like going on vacation in the city and renting the lodge or hotel- it's a work in progress

I downloaded beta 0.21, installed everything according to your video, went into the game and just can't get to the new city. If you go through the mailbox, then an inscription appeared to go to the city, I press and it directs me simply to the menu so that I choose a city. A new Magnolia Promenade has appeared, but it is completely empty and you can't even do anything with it. According to the plot, if you go, then the sim simply goes to work for an hour and returns. Help please, I do not understand what the problem is.

Twice now I have tried to install this mod(Beta 0.21.) and twice the save file wasn't there. I have tried all the trouble shooting to try and sort it and it just doesn't work. I'm begining to think this was a waste of my time and money.

If your using a different save instead of the one that came with the mod, it's going to send you to an empty world for you to edit yourself. If you'd like to go to Brookheights, you have to use the save file that came with the mod.

There are two locations of the game files, be careful, i got confused too while installing. One is the C:documents and one in c:program files or something like that.. so the delta folder and the bin/res folder should be in the c:programfiles, sorry if this is confusing 😟

Arnie, I know there are no official mods for Patreon, but I answer questions when I can and will continue to if you'd like. As for myself....My sims can't swim to the boat nor take the subway. The subways are just objects in my game. I have the most up-to-date TOOL mod, but it does not show in game in the walkthrough. I can rename the subways and go near them just not interact with them.

something in my game, I think it is a corrupted mod file has totally not allowed me to run this mod properly, and I am a little upset, I have taken my mod folder out and did all the step by step instructions following Arnies Youtube video and still it will not allow me to play this game. A lot of lagging, had to delete all my other mods, takes ages to load...but, I love it! Everyone needs to remember that this is completely new and never done before. There are going to be issues - just like when the official Sims team releases anything! Just wanted to say thankyou, Arnie, for having the guts to create something so unique. Some of them have only one file and some like all the cc/mods will have a lot more. I placed the files in the folders he directed but I also went back and double checked that they were not more than one subfolder into my main folder...like my mods folder. Then origin wouldn't let me run it told me i had to repair my installed packs to play the changes I had made. So, on the origin screen that show my games library on the settings icon i clicked repair and the game started fine. Maybe that is something you may have to do once you install everything.

There are a million moving pieces with this mod, so there's going to be issues (hence the need for a beta). However, mine is working [almost] perfectly!! I know that driving will probably improve, but I am enjoying what it is now. My sim should NOT have a license! LOL

Sadly not working for me, after trying everything and checking every install is correct, just get error code 811 and have got the latest patch already. Will try again in a few weeks ones some glitches are ironed out and see if it will work then.

I want to say I read the email. I agree it can be challenging to figure out how it works. It took me til 11 pm . I haven’t explored the whole world yet. It’s an amazing idea. I know this is a beta version so the kinks our still being worked out . I wanted to play with my own sim so I created a sim from an empty lot it says create sims to move in and I can travel there just fine . I’m not done experimenting but I’ll say over all it’s not a bad world . In future updates I would love to see it added to the main worlds and not Having to be one save file. But I understand that it could conflict with EA copyright issues so how it’s set up right now is fine . I’m still trying to figure out how to buy a car lol . But after uninstalling and reinstalling like 6 times it finally is working fine in my game . As said in the notes the loading screen takes longer I just assumed it’s a bigger file it opens eventually. I would love to be able to live in the world but again I know it may not be possible with EA rules . Anyways I think it’s a good start and look forward to the fixes . Also to everyone who is downloading you have to read the instructions exactly as posted in the letter or it won’t download properly . Mine is working after trouble shooting and uninstalling and reinstalling all day going over the notes and making sure that I understood what was being asked of me to install . I admit the installation can be tricky! But I was determined to figure it out . I wanted to give a non bias opinion. Great Job and I know this a beta version so I look forward to the updates

I haven't tried story mode yet, I tried the cheat first but I was sent to the hospital lot and there isn't any Brookheights options showing up yet. I followed the instructions to download, am I missing something?

I got it to work and I have a Mac. What I did was I placed the camera.ini file from the camera system folder to sims 4( right click to open package contents) to then opening the contents folder and putting it in the res folder. There was already a camera.ini file there so I replaced it. I then went into resources in the contents folder and placed the graphicscards.sgr folder into there instead of in the configoveride folder. I did not have a config overdue folder in the documents folder in the electronic arts folder so I didn’t know where to put it at first. After loading my game once with the open world mod, the folder showed up so I placed the graphics file there. I didn’t remove the same file from the resources folder but I’m not sure whether or not it would make a difference into whether it will load or not. I did get an error saying all the data from the worlds isn’t complete but that was it. I was able to run the mod and get into the city.

Don’t quote me, but I believe that’s from not owning all the packs. I had that error until I purchased the last pack I didn’t own (StarWars). Not every pack is required but more packs add more functionality to the new world.

I don't see any text when I'm in the city ? And the sims seems to do nothing loll. Like they're on their phone and doing nothing ahaha. Am I the only one ?

Go into File Explorer and This PC. Select the C: drive and go from there.

It's still fine to play, it just means you don't have all the packs but most things will work just fine. Just small things might be missing/ not available.

I can't find the folders for the Camera Systems and Worlds. I don't know where C/Programs is and a I can't find it.

Brookheights isn't supposed to show up. You can either discover it through story mode (start by clicking on the painting in the brooks house) or go there using the mailbox. I'm working through the storymode

I have the infinite loading issue, really hope it will be fixed soon, I was so looking forward to trying this

I renamed the save file to a lower number and it worked. Also, make sure the mods are not too deep in the mod folder or they wont work!

Check to be sure the file names haven't been changed at all. Mine added "copy" to the end since I didn't take out the original files and it was the "copy" on the end of the files that was preventing them from operating correctly. That's what was causing 804 problems for me.

girl this aint working. one of my sims is in brookheights and when i go to play the sim, it says: The game failed. Error Code: 804. It is recommended to relaunch the game. AND SIS i have done it multiple times and it aint working

how I can use the blank world ?

i have one from origin and i don't see it on my load game options

is this supposed to have a world? its not showing up. Everything seems just fine when i load in but i dont have open world camera or brookheights. Is there a youtube installation?

I can't download the zip file within the document

So I changed the files from beta 0.21 but still it doens't appear on Load game, maybe it has to do that I dont have the sims4 from origin, or that I have it on my D disc, and not my C disc?

Hi I am on Mac as well I went to About this Mac then to storage, then go to Manage, click on Applications then click on the Sims 4, on the bottom there is a show in finder button. That should do it ^^

Anyone else on Mac OS who can't find the Sims in applications? Can someone help me? Arnie, you did a wonderfull job! I'm so exited to play!
