This is very... interesting. I am super happy that they covered it, but I find myself conflicted. Obviously they had a good review overall, but I was surprised by a few of the takes. For me, the pacing was perfectly fine, not next level but not problematic. The writing I consider absolutely spectacular, even absent of knowledge of League. My dad has no idea what League even is, and he loved it. They do so much with characters in such a short space. They didn't even mention Mel, one of the best characters in the show. And the take that Jinx's depiction of mental issues was "uninspired" is utterly baffling to me. It is by far one of the most heartfelt and accurate depictions of mental disorders I have ever seen. I had absolutely zero expectations for anything involving League, and I maintain that the only straight up BAD thing about Arcane is that it is league related. But this show utterly blew me away. And so again, I dont complain that the boys didnt go "10/10 masterpiece", but I find myself not quite understanding their problems they listed. Idk. Just a weird disconnect for me. I would love to hear what Rem legitimately considers a 10/10 piece of media, because I just find myself every now and then confused by his takes, even though I agree with him most of the time.
