I also enjoy this show and have been getting the manga as it’s released as a result: But I first watched it with my ten year old son and I was enjoying being able to guess, correctly, what Dr Stone was going to make or the resource he was going after. Impressing my kid at showing I was smart enough to keep ahead of a narrative, being able to google image search early versions of the inventions our hero was attempting to make and otherwise show off made this one really land for me. Being able to find a chunk of tungsten to show the UV effects... but I also watched James Burke’s connections which would show a modern (to the 1970s) invention and then an ancient world device and in half an hour link the two together. Dr Stone is doing much the same really, sometimes there are leaps made that the people at the time didn’t and it took hundreds of years.
