Small Detour

Hey Stoyan, I understand where you're coming from, but rather than scattering our efforts, we see this as a way to focus them. Working on the story module as well as a male model was always in the plan, we're simply shuffling around the order of things a little; and let's not forget, the main goal of the GN is to finally implement full on sex for all of us to enjoy! Now that we're at the point where we're working on sex, and considering that Estelle is our first character; we realize that she will need some hefty reworking done to her mesh and rig in order for her to look good while doing the nasty. Constantly focusing on all the tiny little details and intricate moving pieces required to make the best, most flexible digital sex doll alive can sometimes feel a little overwhelming and ultimately ends up hampering our creativity some days. Rather than obsessing over how to implement all of this without breaking Estelle and breaking ourselves under the pressure, we decided to make a new male and female mesh. With all of our new ideas and none of the old technical limitations, we can just create and iterate with much more freedom; then once we're done, everything we've learned can translate directly back into improving Estelle and the character system. Nothing is ever wasted! In fact, we plan on showcasing the sex scenes from this project in VR. There is going to be all kinds of exciting content to share. Our plan from the beginning was always to build the components of more and more complex games piece by piece, while also providing fun and interactive experiences for you guys to enjoy along the way. This is what I hope you guys have been backing since the beginning, and nothing has changed. We never went into much detail about the story module until now, but it was always meant to be inspired by the graphic novel genre. Imagine a game where instead of cut scenes, you see the action expressed as animated comic book panels, maybe you have multiple choices to pick from or even play part of the game within each of the panels? The possibilities are endless! I am glad you mentioned Blackjack because it was while brainstorming idea's for that embryonic project that not only did we come up with Estelle herself, but we came up with the ideas we wanted to use for telling stories. So for me, even though our idea's may seem all over the place, going through with the creative process of a seemingly unrelated projects is part of finding the solutions to something much bigger! We are always designing with the bigger picture in mind, and this is why we sometimes have to pivot a little. The last thing we want to do is disappoint you guys, but our sanity and creative freedom is high on our list of priorities. We don't take decisions like this lightly, and we hope to show you how beneficial these modules will ultimately be. When it comes right down to it, we're building a sex game engine for ourselves; and perhaps we should be more clear on this point. It may not be the game you want just yet, but in the end it will be glorious! Thank you for voicing your concerns. It just seems you guys are all over the place and not focused on making a game but on making comics and graphic novels, the character creator is great i don't understand why not build a room for it gives us some poses to test out, seems kind of counter productive to design a character creator for a sex game and then make a graphic novel or some silly strip poker spin off. I honestly expected much more.
