I definitely agree with the comment about whether a second channel can help or hurt. Some of my favorite smaller youtube accounts started second channels to put their looser/lower-production-value content in a separate place, and I always enjoy both, but there's often a visual lack of simultaneous growth on both channels. I blame the algorithm for most of that, because I think the idea is solid. What you guys are seeing isn't unique to you, so I DO think keeping two channels is a good idea so you can organize your content.
I know I don't speak for everyone when I say I was THRILLED when you started releasing the singles for Ends, because I'm sure plenty of people were hanging around for the next Dan Bongino song. I love the comedy, but I love the genuine content as well, so maybe the idea of organizing your content that way makes sense. But at the same time, I don't know if I would have discovered Ends if it had been on a second channel from the start. It's a tough call!
I think these longer streams where you all mix up the 'act' with real commentary are a way for your closer fans to feel more intimate with you. I almost never catch them live, but I always watch the recordings and am so grateful they exist. I'm sure some of the more fringe fans aren't as interested, maybe just because the memeable moments take work to find. But those moments still exist, and it's an absolute delight to come across it (I shared about 9 moments from your zoo segment to my discord as I watched, I was so tickled).
If you're already putting out shorts/clips of your funnier moments, I'd keep doing that, too! I myself am (spiritually) an old man so I'm not a fan of the super-short-form content, but I'm not so stubborn to not realize how popular it is with other folks. That might help drum up more numbers.
At the end of the day, I'm no social media savant, so all I can really offer is support and love. I appreciate the fact you guys get to do what you love for an audience that loves to see it, and I want you to go as far as you can with it. I wish there was an easier way to reach all the people who would also love to discover what you do, and I'll keep doing my small part to spread the word.
