Week 20 Update (with beans)!

Aloha!

I hope everyone is simply having a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. I celebrated by going to see my brother Jakey Lutsko perform at a local venue called JJs Bohemia last night. The great Adam Brown pulled a Greg Fundis and learned Jakey's set in 24 hours after a drummer related fiasco took place late Wednesday evening. They killed it!

This week was filled with meetings and taxes. Not as much writing as I was hoping to do. I really want to wrap up a song I've been working on since January 2023 this week.

I spilled some beans in the Patreon group chat on Friday (for those of you who aren't aware of  the Patreon group chat, I believe its only available via the mobile app).

We've received an offer to perform a free show in Chattanooga on August 16 as a part of the Nightfall Music Series.

Nightfall is an outdoor summertime concert series held at Miller Plaza and presented free to the public each Friday night from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. This series is widely acclaimed for the calibre of artists that it presents and the loyal audience it draws to the heart of downtown Chattanooga. Nightfall is a beloved community tradition, celebrating its 37th season and drawing an average attendance of 4,000.

I played Nightfall for the first time 17 years ago with my high school band Infinite Orange. They bring in headliners from all over and have local bands open. Every year they do a competition called "The Road To Nightfall" where locals compete for a headlining spot. We won in 2016 and did a parade to an after party. Now that I think about it, I think that was the first time Jon played with us.

This very well may be the only show we do this year! It's still very early but we hope to book some sort of after-party and other themed events for Saturday as well. Hopefully I'll have more updates ASAP.

Au revoir!

It also has belly teeth.

Congrats on your bro's show, the world needs all the Lutsko's we can get right now. I was curious as to how far back you've been playing music so thanks for disclosing those particular beans. Also, I watched a little bit of a movie recently called Ghoulies, and it features some 80's puppetry and a character who pretends to be someone named Toad Boy, if I didn't know better I could swear you wrote the script.

That was a great show! What a surprise to see you guys there as well! Jakey might not have your puppetry, but he definitely puts on a high energy show. Also I met a sasquatch, so that was nice
