Hey!
1. I believe everyone should have received a 'welcome message' with the link to stems, instrumentals, voice memo demos, SD music, etc. But I'm gonna leave it here too in case you missed it.
2. Here's some more spooky exclusive content I can share with you guys: This is Halloween
The band and I started working on this pre-pandemic (and pre-songs on the computer) when we thought we might be doing The Nightmare Before Christmas live for Halloween. It's kind of confusing to explain, but I did a series of Nightmare Before Christmas shows in 2015 and I recorded my own version of the soundtrack. It was hastily recorded as a way to share parts with my band. I did all of the vocals, guitars, bass and used MIDI for everything else. It wasn't intended for public consumption; it was just a way for me to reinterpret Danny Elfman's full orchestration as a 5 piece band (guitar, bass, drums, keys, xylophone).
So fast forward to 2020 and I have an (almost) entirely different band. We decided to learn the Nightmare Before Christmas songs and record them as we go (each member has their own at-home studio setup). The pandemic hit and we never got past This Is Halloween. It's not 100%, it uses the same vocal tracks from 2015 and we never got around to adding real xylophone. I likely would have started from scratch and approached the vocals differently had we decided to move forward. Maybe we would have released a full Nightmare Before Christmas album had things gone another way, but then of course there would be no Songs on the Computer.
Anyways, these are the guys I'm gonna be playing with in Chicago! Still lots of tickets available for 4/22 BTW
Drums - Adam Brown
Saxophones - Jon Elliott
Bass - Eric Parham (Greezy Rick)
Cheers!
