Happy Holidays & Shotgun King on mobile 🎅♟️📲

Ho ho ho punks!

We've been quiet the last two months. Truth is we're all catching a breath after what has been a very full year for PUNKCAKE. We made quite a few games, and hosted two guest games on our subscription. We also started making a video newsletter, we released a physical cassette with tracks from our first 12 games...

And now it's finally time to reveal that we've been working with Headbang Club, who did the console port of Shotgun King, to bring Shotgun King onto mobile too!

Shotgun King on mobile is still a premium game, but! For one week, and only on the Epic Games Store, you can claim the game for free, and start playing it on your phone.

The current version is very much an early release and may have some small issues, which we encourage you to tell us about on our Discord, if you encounter them. It would be very helpful to the team who is working on it.

You can get Shotgun King on mobile for free until Thursday 25th at 5pm EST. In a couple of weeks the game will also come out on the Play Store and on the Appstore. This is a pretty big deal to us, we hope it will allow many more players to enjoy the game when playing on a computer or a console isn't an option!

As for ourselves, we are currently trying to decide what exactly we'll be doing in 2026. We'll keep making games of course, but maybe not monthly. We want to try new things, we want to spend more time on some specific games, we want to make more free prototypes, and we also want to release all our games from this year on Steam. As a result, we'll be shaking up the Patreon rewards a little bit. Instead of giving you a new game monthly, we're thinking of offering you beta access to whatever we're working on. There may also be other rewards for the different support tiers. We're still thinking about it.

For now, subscription payments will be paused again for the 1st of January, and then we'll be announcing the new Patreon rewards shortly after. If you have paid for an annual subscription and you feel that the new rewards are not up to par with your expectations, then we will be happy to refund you the remaining of the months you paid for.
