So we decided to make up for this weird slow year by releasing one game a day this week... I'm just kidding, but we really do have another game for you today! This one has kept me busy since april, except for when I was on Shotgun King for a few months. Still, it's been brewing for a long time and I'm very relieved to finally push out some version of it. (addressing why "some version" further down)
Hot Wax is an arcade burn-em-up puzzler where you place candles and then light them up to create slowly-unfolding chain reactions.
It's available now on Itch io for 6$, and on our website for all our Patreon subscribers!
But not on Steam! Not yet. This project has taken so long that I've started burning myself out working on it. (ironic, considering it's a candle game!) I was able to finish most of everything I wanted to get done but I can't bring myself to do proper marketing for it right now. That's why we decided to release the game on Itch with only 3 of the 6 gamemodes, and keep the rest warm for the Steam release, which will probably come sometime in January. Hopefully by that point I will feel more up to the task of marketing this thing.
That being said, considering the game went way overscope, I do think you're getting a bang for your buck even with the current version. Me and the rest of the team are very happy with this game! Pentadrangle in particular really outdid himself with the soundtrack!
