Horizons beta up now for Patreon subscribers!! 🚀 Hot Wax coming for Halloween! +two other free games made this month! No charge for November

Hi everyone!

We just put up an early version of the full Horizons: The End Of Words on Steam and only Patreon subscribers have access to it, through our website punkcake.club!

The game is more or less complete but it lacks testing, so we need your help! We're looking for all sorts of feedback, from things that don't feel great or balanced, to bugs and crashes.

You can get a beta key for the game on punkcake.club right now. And please come to our Discord to give us feedback on the game!

We'll do the full release for Horizons in November. We're planning to have a first release on Itch early in the month, and then we'd like to translate the game in a few languages and do the Steam release a couple weeks later.

Hot Wax is very close to completion as well! There's still some uncertainty around what it will contain exactly in the end, I had planned to make a few different gamemodes but after finally testing them I'm not so sure I want to keep them. We'll see!

In any case the game should be coming out on Halloween day on both Itch and Steam!

Earlier this month Benjamin, Eris and I did Ludum Dare! Eris got sick and had to drop out sadly, but Benjamin and I each finished a game in 72 hours, and both games even got music from Pentadrangle!

We're quite happy with both games:

Combo Critters is a card game where each of the 60 cards is a unique creature. The game plays in two phases: a drafting phase and a battle phase. The goal is to score more points than your opponent to move to the next level and unlock a new creature!

Build The Sun is a god game of tiny proportions. Guide your little 3-legged black balls to build a nice settlement, explore the map to find rare resources, and eventually build the sun.

They're both available for free, though they are also a little clunky right now. But we're planning to turn both into full releases!

That's it for fow! We're not charging you for November because you're all paid up for both Hot Wax and Horizons and we don't have another release planned for that month. We might have something for December though!
