Discipline and devotion

Enjoy a kidney-cleansing mandala practice while we contemplate the theme of discipline, or what Judith Lasater says is “expressed by [the] intention to stay present in each moment.” Begin right away in crocodile pose as part of a sequence that includes half frog, one-legged twists, half moon, supported bridge, seated hip circles, sphinx, and meditation. The practice explores both releasing and expanding as part of the transformational process. Working with these postures and meridians is also helpful for healing physical stress created by fear and anxiety. I highly recommend drinking a glass of water afterwards.  

Props: one block or a firm cushion, optional blanket to spread out on the mat, glass of water
