Honoring the need for rest ❤️

This Samhain brought a lot of purging and releasing. So much so that it manifested physically, and I went *full stop* to rest, heal, and allow everything to recalibrate.

The body knows.

When we stop — even if for a day — it becomes very clear how much we are constantly stimulated, how much we respond to on the day-to-day, and how much we expect from ourselves. In rest, I was free to explore ideas, insights, shadows, and authentic desires without the external world constantly trying to steer me in multiple directions.

This is the richness of Scorpio season, the pull to go deeper and listen. Because Scorpio isn’t interested in the superficial ideas of what we *think* we need to do. Scorpio guides us to our true innermost needs and desires.

It’s no coincidence that we begin our practices this week with an exploration of Apana Vayu — the downward current of energy that allows us to ground and root deeper into ourselves and the earth.
