Energy Update and Lion's Gate Portal

Leo season is all about the heart. Ruled by the 5th house and the sun, the energy of Leo leads with love, self-empowerment, and the gifts in life that bring happiness and joy. This is how we awaken our authentic truth and soul expression. And often the simplest and clearest way to do this is to follow the paths that bring us joy. To do what we love to do. That's our soul speaking. That's the heart leading the way. That's how we step into the light of the sun and let ourselves be seen.

In yoga, we often focus on the mind, because that's our biggest barrier. If we can only surpass the mind and ego, we can open the gateway to a higher form of consciousness. And while that's true, I personally feel this gives all of the attention to the doorway instead of the key. The KEY is the activation of the heart that awakens the true self and bypasses all of the barriers that stand in the way. The more we are able to access the space of the heart, the easier it becomes to open the gateway and let go of the stuff of the mind. We enter the frequency of love -- the ultimate higher consciousness.

This August is a high-energy time, especially these first couple of weeks. We are still in the energy of Lughnasadh, the first harvest that helps us tap into abundance and gratitude, and the 8/8 Lion's Gate portal activation is approaching on the same day as the new moon in Leo. This is awakening so much heart energy and potential. Note: While I'm not seeing the alignment with Sirius as you might read on the internet, this Lion's Gate new moon is opposing the midpoint between Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, which will be super bright in the night sky. It's basically forming a beacon directly to our emotions (the moon) and our soul (the sun) from this energy that we've been navigating all 2021 since the Saturn/Jupiter conjunction. The energy of the number 8 aligns with Strength in the Tarot (the card of Leo and the lion), and numerology always has an energetic signature. It's also no coincidence that the nodes of fate in Gemini and Sagittarius will be at 8 degrees.
