Can you feel this eclipse energy making waves? Just a reminder to be very mindful and intentional when it comes to your practices and rituals during an eclipse. I do not recommend charging crystals/tools or doing spell work (if that’s your thing) on an eclipse, because the energy can be unpredictable. I also find that readings, intuitive work, and divination practices can be confusing and tricky during this time — so imagine a bubble of light around you at all times and ask to connect to the frequency of love anytime you feel uncertain about the messages coming through, or if an energy shows up that feels out of alignment. It’s nothing to be afraid of, it’s just that when these portals open up and when the sun and moon connect to the nodes of fate, there can be a lot of chaos and emotional overwhelm in the collective. Anytime we unlock a new doorway, it can take time to feel brave enough to look through or even process what we see behind it. It won’t be the story we‘ve created in our head. It won’t be the story someone else is telling us. It is usually something we don’t expect. Past energies are likely to surface this week for deeper reflection and releasing. But WE get to decide (once we have a chance to process and allow the energy to move through) whether these energies have a place in our future. Also — before making any big decisions during an eclipse, take some time to go within, reflect, and balance your energy. Practice meditations that release fear or incorporate some calming breath work. Going outside in nature is another favorite grounding practice of mine when I feel unsettled.
Wow, didn’t expect to write all that, but I guess it was meant to be shared!
During our full moon healing circle tomorrow (6pm ET), I will offer a brief astrology overview and then lead you through some calming practices to ease emotional overwhelm and release stories from the past. If you’re reading this, then you get to attend for FREE with code MOONLOVE when you register at https://mandigarrisonyoga.as.me/fullmoon.
Here’s another bit about this eclipse that went out on social media this week:
Eclipse season is here! We kick off this season of transformation with a total lunar eclipse in Sagittarius, which is exact on Wednesday morning and visible to us just before sunrise and moonset at 4:47 a.m. On Tuesday night, it might look as if the moon is in a haze. Check it out and see! One really cool aspect of this transit is that the full eclipse actually begins at 11:11 UTC (universal time), which is 7:11 a.m. our time. Bring on the magic!
A #lunareclipse means that the moon will be transiting its south node, the energy of the past, which is currently in Sagittarius. Much of the work we've been exploring as a collective with these nodal placements is releasing the need to KNOW (Sag) and remaining open to LEARN (Gemini). This is a simple explanation of a much more complicated journey, but this eclipse is going to help us release the past for good.
The path to the future is going to suddenly seem quite clear, and with eclipse energy, the answer is never what we expect. The sun lighting up the north node is shining a light on new information to process and integrate, and it might be shocking. But it's Gemini season, and change is the eternal flow. As a veracious seeker and learner myself, I love having my reality shattered every so often. The more we learn, the more we create, and the more this universe (or our perception of it) expands.
In looking at the #fullmoon chart, it's also interesting to note the goddess energy at master numbers with Neptune conjunct Pallas at 22 degrees Pisces, Vesta at 11 degrees Virgo, and Vertex at 22 degrees Scorpio. Also, the sun, moon, and earth are at 5 degrees during this eclipse, which is the number of change (and during a 5 month - May - in a 5 year). Hmm. 😉
