Hello everyone! Apologies for the in and out sporadic posting - I've been seriously under the weather this past week, I even had to cancel our weekly session! However never fear I'm feeling much better today and I'm back with a magical item I really like! The Staff of Resonance.

The Staff of Resonance was created by the scholars at Clifton College, a place known for its dedication to studying magic and its underlying principles. Their research focused on understanding how sound waves and vibrations affect arcane spells, particularly those that cause elemental damage. They discovered that the type of damage spells produce is directly linked to the sound waves they emit during casting. After many attempts to control this effect and target specific damage types, the researchers found it challenging to achieve the precision they wanted. Instead, they developed the Staff of Resonance, a magical staff that simplifies the process by converting all spell damage to thunder damage, based on sound.
