the problem is caused by computer language setting, you will met the problem if your computer is not Japanese,and when you extract the file. Some file’s name will disappear because of the language code. There’s a solution, you can download “bandizip”, before using it to extract the file, change the language to “Japanese” by clicking the “code page” button, when extract is finished, open the file you just extracted , the problem will be solved.Rename the file can’t solve it because the code page is still different even the words are the same . My computer is in traditional Chinese so I met the problem before, you can try it. Hope this can help you

I even went as far as to rename the images AND go through all the dialogue replacing everything but I keep getting an error saying the image failed to load. This game is the only one that does this. Anyone know what's wrong?
