Aberrant Tyrant (For Beholder Fans)

With the Hydra and the Mimic we've released a bunch of iconic D&D monsters over the last weeks. Next to an actual dragon, this right here might be the most iconic one of them all! We've stayed as true to the original as possible, as most of you want to run this monster in its "official" form - of course, we did add a few minor, minor tweaks you can easily ignore, if you are so inclined!

Aberrant Tyrants birth themselves into the Material Plane through their dreams and nightmares. Considering themselves the apex of creation, an Aberrant Tyrant’s worst nightmare is to be trapped in a world filled with inferior creatures. Due to the nature of the dreamlands beyond the veil, these nightmares are manifested, and the Tyrant is brought forth into the mundane world, where it promptly goes mad from the combined horrors of this experience and the utter contempt towards the vile inhabitants of this hellscape. Some Tyrants however dream of subjugating foreign worlds their inhabitants, only to wake up finally being able to do so. They are, however, no less insane.

As always, this D&D classic comes with four different skins, on Tier 2 integrated in FoundryVTT and of course with a free PDF, including a quick strategic guide on how to run your monster! Take a look!

The whole guide spans about two pages and gives an insight on how to approach running this monster.

As you can see, we stayed true to the original and had a lot of fun  with this Token and included two different animations for its beam attacks, where the Tyrant is just lighting it up! As before, abilities  with a dedicated animation are marked with a ".", except for "Beam..", for the alternative Beam animation incase you want to spice things up. For example:  "Eye Beam" is listed as "Eye Beam." and "Eye Beam.." In the Foundry sheet,  because it's the trigger for the respective animations!
