Celebrating the Amber Temple release over at Beneos Battlemaps, we've decided to release another tribute monster - the Amber Idol! You can probably guess what it is based on, but we included some purely optional abilities to further emphasize its role a a jailer of great evil and dark magic.
Amber Idols are constructs crafted from anointed amber, fossilized resin obtained from sacred trees. While humanoid in stature and gait, their heads resemble bestial guardian spirits of old. Amber Idols are tasked with guarding hidden temples and lost sites that harbour great evil, tirelessly patrolling ancient gaols to ensure the continued confinement of the horrors sealed within.
