Arcane Incursors resemble interplanar trapdoor spiders, as they burrow into the veil between worlds where they are lying wait, only to burst forth from their lair if magic weakens the border between planes. Once the incursion is completed, they begin their hunt for raw arcane energy, usually starting with the unlucky caster of the spell that lured the Incursor into their world. Arcane Incursors usually hunt alone, but a sufficiently great source of magic might draw more specimens, marking the beginning of an infestation with catastrophic prospects for the local mage population.

Incursion
Arcane Incursors slip into the Material Plane when the border between worlds is weakened. As they prey on magic users, they usually burst forth from unchecked teleportation circles, planeshift portals, Gates or other means of arcane instant teleportations. They usually do not go for the kill or fight to the death, preferring a quick meal and a swift Reshift.
