Since ages past, the Griffon has been a symbol of just and virtuos regency, earning their species the prefix 'royal'. Because of this symbolism, Royal Griffons are coveted mounts and familiars for any ambitious sovereign. Taming a feral Griffon is a dangerous and arduous undertaking, therefore most trained Griffons originate from Heralds Aerie, a mountain bastion held by an Order of Knights dedicated to forging a bond between a Griffon and its rider.
