The Wulfen Curse is an affliction of the soul. Some humanoids already carry the seed of beasthood with them, nurturing a dark hunger for violence and bloodshed. If they give in to this hunger, the dread curse takes hold, shaping the body in accordance to the soul. Over time the Wulfen comes to detest its humanoid body, the metaphysical affliction of the soul mirrored in the physical realm. They are, however, forever trapped between worlds, for they are neither wolf nor man, but a chimeric soul burdened with an appetite for both the chase and the catch.

Wolfkin

Those afflicted by the Curse of the Wulfen slowly lose themselves to the bestial urges festering within their soul. After each hunt it gets harder to take on human form and even the horrid shape of the man-wolf becomes difficult to maintain. Soon the Wolfkin have all but forgotten what it means to be human and fully dedicate themselves to the hunt. Bigger, stronger and blessed with remaining spark of malicious intellect, Wolfkin soon find themselves in charge of a pack of regular wolves, often answering the call of other hunting Wulfen, eager to redden their snout in the ensuing bloodbath.
