"Exposure to extreme instances of magnetism might cause an as of yet unexplained transformation within Shield Guardians. The docile automatons undergo a rapid evolution, triggering both a physical transformation and a severe change in behaviour. A Polarized Shield Guardian is no longer bound to its master, resisting any attempt of external control with violent means. Their physique adapts to support a construct now geared towards offensive conflict resolution, rather than silent endurance. These creatures are exceedingly rare and, if able to break their shackles for good, wander the lands guided by their mysterious connection to both magical and magnetic forces."
