She has at least one song in her albums thats completely different from the rest. I like her “Fck it, I’ll record this” attitude. She has two albums (Let England Shake and The Hope Six Demolition Project) that sound so different you think its another artist. The songs have lyre/harp, acoustic guitar and brass. The sound is almost ethereal. Yet the lyrics are about war, power and politics, very dark and explicit. Its like she is mimicking war propaganda or how governments brainwash ppl about it. She is singing about terrible things while sounding like an angel. She gets pretty dark, but great dark works of art have a reason, something they want to tell you and think about subjects ppl tend to avoid. Or just creep you out, wich I’m totally in too! Hooray for senseless horror movies! :D

I was working at my college radio station when this song was released. We were regularly playing songs from her previous albums and remember crowding into the tiny on-air studio with several of the other DJs to hear it for the first time. We were all really shocked by how different it was and we all loved it.
