Dance photography is something that has intrigued me since I first saw Jordan Matter's book, Dancers After Dark. Shortly thereafter I started looking for dancers to shoot and I had the good luck to work with a few professional dancers, to include Viktory. I found out, however, that I need to learn more about dance before I can shoot it effectively. It isn't just about how good the picture turned out for a dancer. They are extremely focused on body angles, particularly legs and feet. Dancers do not want photos in which their dance poses are slightly off, no matter how nice the photos is overall.
