Added 2018-07-01 04:30:53 +0000 UTCWell, here's the eventual outcome of my attempt to sequence some Baroque music on the modular synth. Not ready to compete with Wendy Carlos just yet.
Actually most of this was done on the Arturia MicroBrute. The modular provided the bass "bomp" on the downbeats, and the filtered-noise percussive "tock" sound. Everything else was MicroBrute. The bass figure was sequenced and recorded in one pass, then the melody part was overdubbed in two subsequent passes because there are clearly supposed to be two distinct voices that trade off .. and I wanted to vary the timbre between each iteration. Anyway, Henry Purcell probably isn't spinning too hard in his grave.
