FULL LENGTH VERSION of Arcane Season 2 Episode 8!

Comments

Yeah it's a real stretch if the theory is true, alot of coincidence though. I just found it funny they pointed out some random piano guy in their reaction. equally as funny if he is just some random piano guy.

Lol good incorporation of #4 I guess the only thing is we all thought the mage might have been Ryze originally

You’re still not getting it lmfao. Tencent owns Riot, Tencent said no homo, Riot said ok daddy. The end. You fucking idiot. You embarrassed yourself here tryna be a smartass. Just take the L.

The fact you glazed over the fact about video publisher/distribution rights in fact makes you sound dumb, trying to pin it on Riot Games when it's Netflix that deals those issues. And your use of original verbiage doesn't help you either. As I have put, they didn't bend the knee to anybody and did the best they could within the rules, laws, and approvals to get representation, even in some countries that usually ban it.

Micarl1208

still doesn't change the fact that league of legends / arcane is owned by a chinese state company.

Red Hood

Riot Games is owned by Tencent, a Chinese conglomerate. Put 2 and 2 together before you call someone dumb and sounding stupid as hell yourself. Has nothing to do with Netflix. To your point, they actually did good work in getting it approved in certain homophobic regions. But they gotta bend to China because it quite literally owns them.

I think you should educate yourself instead of sounding dumb..bruh. ..if you knew anything about distribution and video publication, you would know Riot Games doesn't control that. That's up to their video distributer/partner whom is Netflix and they managed to get those scenes approved in other countries. If you knew the real story, since Riot Games is such a huge video game company and owned by Tencent Games, A CHINESE company. They actually pushed hard to get lgbtq representation in other countries, that some other studios haven't been able to get approved due to how massive league of legends is globally. They managed to get it approved in some countries that usually ban lgbtq such as Turkey, Audi dubai, and at least 2-3 more middle eastern countries. China is no surprise at all and they didn't bend the knee to anybody. Educate yourself before you make yourself sound dumb.

Micarl1208

Yall should see the Chinese version of that sex scene 😭 Riot Games out here pretending they’re all for inclusivity then throw their principles in the trash when the CCP censorship regime tells them to bend over and spread their cheeks.

If theories for characters in League or if the next series on Noxus expands on it I'm curious to see what may happen with "just the piano guy" I cannot wait 4 it!

Also the reason why Skye says "no you won't" is because Viktor is basically killing his humanity to evolve himself, so his emotions are going away. And sad tid bit on the song, for Viktor's transformation. Tyler, lead singer of twenty one pilot." Anybody can correct if I am wrong on timeline, but he said he wrote the song shortly after his grandmother passed away and he was in the room with her. He said it was life changing and an experience he never wishes upon anybody else. Also be-aware both Viktor and Jayce had their original storylines rewrote with Arcane, but in original Lore, Viktor's biggest line is saying "Glorious Evolution" and he mechanically altered himself into a robot using hextech.

Season 2 definitely has a lot of issues. And even as someone who knew the lore, characters, universe can say there's a lot of issues that happened. Also many people who are general audiences were very confused by a lot of stuff also, so don't feel bad. I have no insider information, but there's some theories and slightly confirmed things from interviews with the lead showrunner Christian Linke. Firstly, Riot Games and Christian have been back & forth on this, but there are rumors that Arcane was originally set to be 3-5 seasons. Riot Games and Christian have doubled down on saying it was always only going to be two, but that just seems opposite of their original ideas when they first did behind the scenes. Many people’s guess is that Riot Games probably didn’t want to sink more money into the project since it was already going to be costing up to $250 million for the two seasons, that cost might have been ballooning up as it was Riot Games first attempt and their team(s) first attempt at making an animated series. Christian also mentioned the team was getting tired in the sense that they have been working on this project for 10 years. Long story short though, people guess that Arcane might have had another season or 2 originally, but might have got shut down by Riot Games due to cost. Production of season 2 started during Covid. One team that got hurt really bad was the writing team, they originally had about 8 writers in total for season 1. But for season 2, Riot Games cut down the writing team to 3 people, Christin Linke, Alex Yee and Amanda Overton. People’s guesses are two things, while Christian and Alex have been part of this whole production, they said they never actually wrote any scripts for season 1 in the end, but just oversaw final scripts for approval. And while Amanda was part of season 1 script writing, she had a team around her for help in this case. For season 2, both Alex and Christian actually helped write scripts along with Amanda. The issue is that both Alex and Christian inexperience as script writers and storytellers definitely shows (that’s assuming if you hated the show, or however any one person felt specifically). Season 2 itself, the biggest difference is that it is more plot driven vs. season 1, that is character driven. There’s plenty of video essay’s out there on what that exact difference means/is. But they even admit in their behind the scenes of “Bridging The Rift.” When making season 1 from the beginning, both Alex and Christian brought in other writers BECAUSE they realized they needed help. Their original drafts and story verbatim “were plot driven. Bringing in new writers helped us understand how to write good characters.” And yes, they definitely use the method of “show don’t tell," but it has it's flaws if its overused. And the writers relied too much on already established lore and outside media for general audiences, any good piece of media should be able to stand on it's own two feet and not have the audience require to do their own research and look up 170 champs to learn their lore & background. I think season 1 is goated, but season 2 is almost a masterpiece with a messy ending. There’s a lot of issues, but to keep it simple, the main two issues are pacing & sacrificing their complex, nuanced, and intricate characters for trying to expand the world too quickly. I've seen some people mention, when we get away from Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Piltover vs. Zaun and into the world building, some people got lost in the sauce which I think is valid.(That's coming from someone who already knew the characters, lore, universe, etc. I could understand if the casual audience got lost at some point) In the making of the show (Bridging The Rift), the creators talk about how their original draft was very plot driven, not character driven. People are invested into Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Ekko Jayce, etc. Piltover and Zaun. Their hardships, downfalls, relationships, etc. In the span of the last 3 episodes or just act, we go from character driven into all powerful mage trying to annihilate the world, Jayce getting powers basically through the hammer, Mel becomes a powerful mage, generic super army, Mel betrays the Black Rose so people at least at this point wouldn't learn more about them, their goals, etc. I could go on but in simplicity I thought a lot of stakes were lost. Ambessa and Noxus should've been the ultimate and main antagonist of this series' ending. I don't find it as egregious as D&D /Game of Thrones. General consensus is that D&D just wanted to be done with GOT, so they just rushed the last season to teleport everybody, everywhere. And characters made choices that didn't make sense or give them time to get to their final journey. With Arcane, I think Riot Games needed to give the writers either another season to flesh out the story and ending they wanted to tell, or AT least should've increased the run-time for the last act to give them more runway. I mean the Ekko episode is amazing and he is the mvp, but the last two episodes really hurt the series for a lot of people.
