Players who picked up on it knew he'd be coming since episode one when Vander was introduced as "the Hound of the Underground". Very astute players may even notice Warwick's sound effects playing when Silco tells Vander he'll show him what he really is.

It is REALLY such a good teaser. It shows you the new characters which are mostly in the game too

The little Yordle lady that touches Jinx arm, the voice actress actually passed away before season 1 release, that's why they have her touch and I think they give her a thank you message in the credits. It's interesting to see people's reactions to Warwick. In-case you didn't know, league players actually never knew who or how Warwick was made, but he had in-game voicelines specifically with Singed, Caitlyn, VI, & Jinx(who were all original characters released back in 2010). Arcane is the introduction to these characters & world, in a long form media. Mixture for long-time fans of game and general audiences. Players didn't know or even guess Warwick was Vander until 3 years ago when they kept dropping teases about him "Being Hound of the Underground" or "Release the beast inside" along with showing at the end of season 1, a hanging beast which would've been Vanders corpse. I personally played league from season 5 to season 9. Each year is a season, and the game was launched in 2010. They are on season last year was season 14. So they are using Arcane to solidify some characters' backstories and lore and re-working some characters such as Jayce & Viktor. (League is now up to 170 champs) Season 1 included 9 champs which were/are Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Ekko, Jayce, Viktor, Singed, Heimdeinger, and we can now confirm Vander is Warwick Season 2 - They made Ambessa and Mel a playable champs

2025-02-08 22:53:48 +0000 UTCHaven't even seen the reaction yet. I personally think Cait got too much hate in season 2 from some people. Not only did her mother get murdered, Cait in the span of few days while only trying to do good , got kidnapped from her shower naked, terrorized , nearly killed , didn't shoot jinx because vi stopped her which eventually lead to her mothers death and at last the memorial attack. I mean people do joke that Jinx got to see Cait naked before Vi as a running joke and it is. But in also reality context of the show, drama and seriousness, I mean that would be pretty traumatic to be kidnapped naked, pretty vulnerable place regardless of being male or female. And then add in the rest. As cliche as it sounds, guilt, revenge, trauma all can easily outweigh normal thought processing and Caitlyn hasn't had time to process everything. And I do consider what she did with the gas almost a war crime.
