Funny enough, in the dub of this episode, he does call her 3 eyes. Took me a few seconds to understand what he meant.

2024-11-29 19:58:12 +0000 UTCThat is just wrong, Eren was going to attack regardless it was part of the plan with Zeke and Willy is only declaring war to get the world's hatred off Marley's back. If Eren had never attacked people wouldn't just all come together, they would question and further continue to distrust Marley, Willy was counting on being made a Martyr. His convo with Reiner is him trying to understand Reiner's motives, Eren isn't broken by the end in fact his talk with Reiner proves he was right, and gives him resolve, "they were born like this." Eren like Reiner are alike, they choose this path themselves because they deep down know they have selfish desires for why they are doing what they are doing. Eren wants to destroy the world in order to obtain his own freedom.

2024-11-29 08:37:58 +0000 UTCRemember, Willy declared war on Paradis before Eren ever did anything. Eren only began his attack literally 1 sec AFTER war was already declared on them. We didn't know it then but now we know that Eren had already seen what he was going to do and thats why he looked so broken and defeated talking to Reiner. He couldn't find another way forward so he was only left with 2 options: let his world be destroyed or destroy the rest of the world himself. You might be right in a way because only Eren would make the 2nd choice.

They could have done the 50-year plan, which was their idea if diplomatic talks didn't work out. Eren prevented this by going rogue. Isayama's message isn't that genocide is the inevitable answer, but that it didn't have to come to this, and their ways to prevent it, but Eren's actions and worldview pushed it to go this way. The best way to understand the relationship between Eldia and the rest of the world would to look at Kenny and Uri's relationship. But yea Eren did not have to do this, he chose to do this

Armin blowing up Liberio and the scouts killing a bunch of people in Marley was wrong. But that's where the problem is, there is no answer TO give to the predicament at hand. All of the world had just declared war on Paradis, they have limited time. What was to be done? Isayama is not necessarily posing a definitive answer, but he IS sending the warning that, if we don't find a solution through diplomacy, then solutions like Eren's Genocide become the inevitable answer.
