2024-07-05 17:17:18 +0000 UTCI have watched the whole show in both SUB and DUB multiple times and in my opinion this is the only scene where the DUB was as good as the SUB ! but for the remaining of the show, No ! The SUB is way way better ! Armin in the DUB is very bad ! Mikasa is not bad but is not convincing to be Mikasa ! Eren screams in the DUB are really horrible to hear ! Your decision to switch to the sub early was the right choice ! And remember Lia when you mentioned in the last few episodes how the voice acting was so good ! you will not see that good performance in DUB except for this scene and that's why this scene is recommended by many and it deserves !

2024-07-05 14:18:27 +0000 UTCErwin's dub voice actor decided not to watch/read the revelations of the basement in solidarity for Erwin since he never got to learn them either. He said "If he never reaches the basement, then neither would I." He also said that's his way to stay connected to the character he loves. Idk if that changed since the show concluded, but mad props to dub VA.

2024-07-05 06:59:18 +0000 UTCI honestly don’t love the English Eren, Mikasa, Armin voices (sorry to those voice actors). Although they have their moments. Eren Season 2 episode 6 reveal and Hannes’ death scene are both pretty dang good/emotional in the English Dub. But Erwin and Levi English dubs go toe to toe with the Japanese VAs for me. And watching AOT in English after watching it in Japanese really is worth it. Some of it is just hearing the moments in your native language, but some of it is actually getting a new perspective/feeling based on the script being slightly different (but still true to the story and characters). Particularly in season 4, but definitely all throughout the show.
