Today we look at some of the gadgets I built to interact with the modular kit.

The matrix mixer schematic (along with a couple of other passive mixing concepts) was in a book called "Handmade Electronic Music" by Nicolas Collins. The form of the devices was dictated partly by the containers I had available, and partly by what I wanted to do. My recording gear can do stereo, but the modular stuff is all mono so basically I thought of different ways to mix a bunch of inputs to two outputs. The Matrix uses pots; the Dalek uses switches. I wanted to be able to mute tracks without changing their settings, so I built some switched channel mutes (like the Double Muffler). I can always use attenuators - and it is way cheaper to make them than to buy them in manufactured modules. The Feedbacker I made for a very specific purpose because my DLY module wasn't working correctly.
