This picture is in a folder that dates back to 2012 before I started sorting them according to which camera I used. It must have been cropped because none of my film cameras can focus this close. Low light will also make film images grainy .. so the answer is: BOTH! What puzzles me is how smooth the grain is .. it doesn't look badly JPEG compressed, which is odd because I used the same scanner. This is the only film scanner I've ever owned.
