I see where Cassie is coming from here, actually. They've been fairly cautious about maintaining the loops, but all it seemed to ensure is that they get caught in more loops. From Cassie's perspective at this moment in time, it's very much a chicken or the egg thing. Yeah, it could have disastrous effects telling Gale about his death, but acting outside of causality (if it's even possible considering it could be what happened all along) could be the thing that ends up stopping the endless cycles. They just can't know. Kind of reminds me of s2 where Cole saves Jennifer's life when the most logical play was to kill her. He changed the timeline then. Then again, it also changed when Cassie was killed after the night room episode, so really if I were in their shoes it's hard to say who is right. They don't have enough information, so for them every move they make is a gamble, anyway.
