When these stories first appeared on FA, readers were harsh in condemning Zandar as evil and manipulative. I had a perverse, contrarian desire to defend her, and as a consequence she became the most interesting character in the story. I've been working on her spin-off series "Zandar's Saga" for nearly a decade now.

I think she did him a bit of a favor by diverting his lusts away from Springfield.
