Percussion is brushes on an old tambourine, and a hand thumping on a wooden box for the bass drum. Upright bass with new synthetic gut strings (they are so mellow!) What sounds like a banjo is actually a Steve Wishnevsky tenor "resno," an open-backed instrument with an aluminum resonator cone. The lead was played on a Bruce Wei "gypsy" Django Reinhardt style baritone uke which is strung with steel strings.
