my issues with this is that you can't compare someone's sexual preferences to drug or alcohol addiction. it isn't an addiction. it is ingrained into who they are. it's the same idea as gay conversion therapy. it doesn't work. you cannot change who or what someone is sexually attracted to. they could get help to not offend but you can never stop them from being attracted to kids. personally I think anyone who does offend should be locked up for life or euthanized. it's not worth risking a child's life/future so a sexual offender can have another chance. I think the ones who don't offend should get help so they never offend. once they show they are capable of offending though it's just not worth the risk to the public.
