To assert it's simply because he's a pedophile is very simpleminded. A lot of my work entails research, and I've spoken at length numerous times about virtuous pedophiles... it may shock you, but not every pedophile wants to risk going to prison, or they may have the will to never offend, knowing the extensive harm it would cause victims. Yes, not all pedophiles are sex offenders, and how can you be a predator if you aren't going after the prey?

I'm sure it is also due in part to a child that young being more impressionable and therefore an easier target; but it is mostly due to their sexual attraction towards pre-pubescent children. I mean, this urge is so incredibly strong that they are willing to throw their entire life away because of it, and that is absolutely terrifying.

I am absolutely horrified by the fact he only got 12 years for all of the disgusting things that he did. It sounds like they had more than enough evidence, yet they offered him a deal. And for what? Nothing more than to save a few dollars on the cost of a trial. I think the money would have been well worth putting this bastard behind bars for at least 25 years if not longer. I don't think any sort of rehabilitation will work on someone like this. And the odds of him reoffending when he is released or extremely high in my opinion. Thank you for covering this and for bringing attention to these situations. You are appreciated.
