Such evocative writing, excellent characterization, wonderful story telling. This is superb literature. This is a true novel. Krill, well done indeed. This novel is easily high end movie material as well! “The wind swept over him, headier than any whiskey, as if carrying a stolen glimpse of tomorrow on its back. It tangled in his hair, beckoning him forward, whispering of secrets he’d long forgotten.” This type of word crafting is reminiscent of what made the “Name of the Wind” so great.

The story should mold the character, we know he studies, and we know how dangerous his job is. Leaving people to guess how he compares to his peers, and revealing everything when a much more important and impressive climax resolves, that’s really good writing. I love Ardan and i love the world he lives in even more.
