In my opinion, one of the main reasons readers are on the side of evil is because some people like to be different from the majority.
And that's OK, because it's part of the human psychology. If the majority of readers are on the side of the superhero, there will be those who are on the side of his haters.
The main hero of the "Dragon Heart" saga, the warrior Hadjar, has a very ambiguous character because he is both a knight and a monster in one.
The most interesting is that Hadjar himself doesn't know which side of his soul will show up next. As well as the author! Lol)
