In my hometown of St. Petersburg, spring is the most ambiguous and contradictory time of the year: half-melted snowdrifts remind me of the last winter, ice and slush make me move extremely carefully on slippery streets, but the sun is already spring, and so are the smiles on the faces of passers-by.
The protagonist of my «Dragon Heart» saga, the warrior Hadjar, always reached for the light, even though he had the heart of a dark creature beating in his chest.
I think most of my readers believe, as I do, that sooner or later the sun will overcome the cold and the darkness will dissipate.
