As a wordsmith who dabbles in the enchanting realms of Wuxia and Fantasy, I must confess my deep fascination with the darker side of humanity. And it seems that many of my readers share this same sentiment.
The truth is, overly virtuous characters can often prove to be quite vexing. They possess an innate strength that is seemingly effortless, without any trials or tribulations to speak of. It can be dreadfully tedious to witness their childlike perceptions of the world around them, devoid of any semblance of hypocrisy or moral ambiguity. Such is not the reality in which we all reside.
In my epic tome, the "Dragon Heart" saga, the protagonist Hadjar is a formidable warrior whose moral compass is not always easy to decipher. He is a product of his perilous surroundings, where danger lurks at every turn. But despite his rough edges, readers have found themselves inexplicably drawn to his fate.
