There are many catastrophes in the world...
I am always horrified when I hear about them...
Fortunately, I live in an area where there are no floods, tsunamis, landslides, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, or earthquakes.
The magnitude and power of the elements is always astounding and disheartening.
I always feel sorry for the unfortunate victims.
But...
In my secret dreams, I would like to be able to watch something like this from a safe distance and feel the adrenaline rush. Huge waves, a volcanic eruption, or a tornado, all of them are frightening and fascinating at the same time.
But I don't want to put my life in danger, so
I choose to write about it or read about it in books.
