Progress Report

Sorry things have been so quiet as of late. Rest assured we're hard at work on the next update! This one is taking a bit longer to complete as the chapters we're working on are the final few of Tai's entire route. I'd much rather have it take longer to release than to release something subpar quickly. Thanks for your patience!

At this stage, we've split 20x3 into two chapters which looking back was practically inevitable considering our previous attempts at multi-pronged chapters like this. I'd hoped to keep things concise and close off all the remaining plot threads for the secondary characters in a single chapter, but as things began taking shape, it became crystal clear that to do so would be a disservice to those stories, and considering this is their conclusion, now just isn't the time to hold back! This isn't Mass Effect 3. This route will go out with a bang come hell or high water.

I don't expect the final chapter of the route to split into two at this stage, however if enough great ideas find their way into the script during the writing process, that may still happen. Assuming it doesn't however, the remainder of Tai's Route is as follows.

20x3: Closure for the Axel/Dom/Russell side story.

20x4: Closure for the Logan/Tobias side story.

20x5: Closure for Adrian and Tai and the official conclusion of the route.

At this stage, I'm still hard at work on 20x3 however I am pleased to report it's shaping up quite nicely, just slowly. It took me a while to get properly started on this one as the outline just felt like it was missing something. In past, my instincts have served me well in this regard and I knew that proceeding without a significant shift in the chapters progression would produce something subpar. Thankfully, I found an angle that works a lot better and I'm expecting the chapter to be finished fairly soon. Originally, I'd intended to not include any new artwork for this sequence or any kind of flashback, but having those things significantly improved the chapter, so it'll have both.

Despite the length of time since the last build, I'm quite opposed to releasing 20x3 on it's own as it's not super long and is a mere third of what I'd originally intended to ship in this upcoming release. Including all three chapters would likely stretch out the development window beyond two months which I'm just not satisfied with, so at this point I'm committing to a release date within the month of July either once 20x3 and 20x4 are completed or towards the end of the month with whatever we have completed in time. I'll be very disappointed if it's anything less than those two chapters, but we'll just have to see how things go. 

In other news, CurryCatz is coming to visit again next month and will be staying for some time, so we're hoping that we'll be able to take advantage of the extra synergy we have when working together in person to produce some very cool content for you all.
