0.26 Patreon Build is now available!

Hey everyone,

So before you get too excited, 0.26 is what was going to be released as 0.25b, we just decided to call it 0.26 as we're trying to line up the build numbers between channels. This update is purely technical improvements, addresses both crashes in 0.25 fully and sets things up for the upcoming 0.30 builds. Read more about that below.

Download Here!

Changelog:

Uses a new versioning scheme.
Starting with 0.26, both the Public and Patreon releases on any given month will share an identical version number. Essentially, the version number will no longer reference how much content the build includes as it has done and will instead refer to the version of the engine and code, as is a more typical way of handling versioning. The Channel (Public or Patreon) will be included in the version number for easy identification.

Includes the new file compatibility system.
This system cleans up and removes files and folders within the Sileo directory which are known to be problematic or depreciated. This specifically fixes a crash with the Model-Based Renderer for users with very old Ren'Py shader files left over from the 0.1X series of Sileo releases and will otherwise clean up a few unwanted files and folders saving space and potentially resolving a few weird issues.

Adds Save File support for >= 0.30 versions of Sileo.
All 0.3X+ releases of Sileo will render ALL 0.25a and earlier versions of Sileo save files incompatible, however 0.26 and future 0.2X versions of Sileo will still be able to read these files and will produce files containing additional data providing more rich functionality in 0.3X+ version save screens and allowing these saves to be reconstructed and used in 0.3X+. If you want to be able to use your existing save data once 0.30 releases, you will need to overwrite them in 0.26 or future 0.2X releases.

Updates Ren'Py to 7.4.6 Stable
0.25a and 0.24.1a were built on a nightly version of Ren'Py which specifically addressed one of the crashes users were experiencing. 0.26 replaces this with a stable update which may fix some issues with those builds.

0.26 also includes other minor fixes and improvements.

Gotcha, I'll get on that 😎👍

So long as you upgrade to 0.26 or greater before 0.30 comes out, otherwise your save files will not work with 0.30. We expect to release 0.27 as July's content update though so it should be fine to wait until then

So its just fixes, nothing new added in, no progression? So if we didn't experience these issues there's no need to update our current files right? I personally didn't run into these which is why I'm asking
