Progress Report

There's still a lot to do yet, but both yesterday and today were days where life limited the amount of time I could spend working on it, but with those obligations now out of the way, I'm free to go all in on this thing and hopefully knock it out in the next couple of days.
That being said, I've fallen into my worst habit of rewriting the sequences from scratch, adding new things, changing things, removing things, etc. Rather than simply improve upon and polish what I've got, I'm sitting here trying to make this horrible thing into the Mona Lisa. And there's a point where you've just got to say enough is enough. Day 14 as a whole is not there yet, not even close, but the first two sequences definitely are and I need to leave them the hell alone!
Thankfully what we've got is shaping up nicely. There's a lot of points in Tai's route where things are intended to seem deliberately strange. Day 14 is the king of those points, a day in which the whole point is to make the reader clutch their heads in their hands and ask no, stop, why the fuck are you doing that?!
I know I say similar with every progress report, but I cannot stress enough - shit gets kinda fucked with this update. Of course, remember that there's a reason for it and that we're doing what we're doing intentionally as a part of this plot. There will be answers, and there will be a payoff. The whole thing is kinda bananas, but that's also been the best thing about it. While Tai's route has been challenging as all hell at the best of times, it's been a ton of fun to make, too. And we're just about to reach the crescendo...
Really hoping to have this damn thing done soon. It sucks writing on a tight deadline as it is, but it sucks even more when you're past the deadline and still a ways from the finish. Time to pull an all nighter! No, I will not accept anybody telling me otherwise. I have a week off work and nothing to stop me from writing till I drop. So write until I drop I shall! Let's get this shit done once and for all!
