One Year Today...

Yesterday marked an important milestone in the development of Sileo, being the one year anniversary of the day development began! Back then, CurryCatz and I got together with a mutual interest in making a visual novel. It's something we were both passionate about, doing it for the love of it. We wouldn't mind if it didn't take off, so long as we got to make something we were proud of... Man... we were not prepared. As you now know, Sileo hit the ground running and has been going from strength to strength ever since! It's crazy to take inventory a whole year later and see how much Sileo has thrived. Even our most optimistic hopes for the project pale in comparison to the present reality, and for that, we sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support and kindness along the way! When we started this thing, neither of us really had any idea what were were doing. Speaking for myself, I look back at some of those early in-game days and... yeeesh! What the HELL was I thinking? One day, at the very least, I intend to replace the 5-day intro with a brand new introduction written from scratch because the content we produced a year ago simply isn't representative of the level of quality he hold ourselves to now. And with any luck? We'll be saying the exact same thing this time next year. Every mistake has been a learning experience, every blunder a building block. I learned, developed and improved with every step of the way. Day 2 of the introduction, the first "full-length" day of the game contains just over 6000 words. Day 11 of Tai's route, currently available to our Patrons, is 29000 words at a drastically higher level of quality. That alone should speak for itself. In an attempt to prevent THIS post from reaching 29000 words, I will wrap things up here, but before I go, once again, thank you to everybody for helping us to reach this milestone!
