Progress Report
Added 2020-12-12 03:26:45 +0000 UTCThe visual update for Sileo has been completed and we're now entering a testing phase for this build. This is expected to be an extended and thorough test as virtually every single image in the game has been replaced and a decent amount of code was changed to facilitate the new imagery.
We're starting out with some internal testing, in particular we're wanting to see how the update affects the system requirements. We're in early stages of this right now, but have already tested 3 devices: A high-end Windows Desktop, a Huawei Mate 20 Pro and a Samsung Galaxy S 4. The desktop and the Huawei passed with flying colours... the old Galaxy did not. While this isn't entirely unexpected due to the device being almost 8 years old, the 0.17 build DID work on this device, which essentially confirms that there's a possibility this update will leave some people behind.
Obviously there's still more testing to be done, and we'll decide our next move based on the results of that. One possibility is that we may release this update in beta to Patreon for you all to test and report back. We'll keep you in the loop.
