While Serena’s been tending to the great library for decades, she swears it’s been more than a century by now. She seems to appear whenever anyone needs her assistance. Always ready. Always willing to help scholars or adventurers find what they’re looking for. Naturally, the little elf loves to learn anything and everything.
Little is known about the girls’ past. One day she just appeared within the great library as if she’d always been there, fully knowledgeable of where everything was. You may spot her reading a book, but more often than not she’s organizing books from the bottom shelves to the tippy tops of ladders. You might even catch her asleep under a desk late in the night. Those that have, and were rude enough to wake her would stammer, as the moment her eyes swung open Serena would vanish in a puff of mystical dust.
Whether she’s gifted in teleportation magic or some kind of lost spirit, no one knows. Though only the skeptics call her a spirit. After all, Serena’s been spotted outside the library on rare occasions. It’s the strangest thing when you catch her from the corner of your eye. You go to take a second glance and she’s already gone. Maybe that’s how the rumors of her being a spirit came to fruition.
Shy as can be, the little elf can barely find the courage to look a man in the eye, let alone talk to one about anything outside of her books. However, the key to her heart is a simple one. Show even the slightest interest in anything academic and she’ll cling to you like glue. Better yet, introduce the book worm to an entirely new subject she’s never heard of. She’ll want to do more than just cling to you.
That’s the rumor going around. Some have even tried to confirm it, but when they try to recall their acclaimed intimacy with the elf their memory is hazy. Perhaps it’s an elaborate rumor. Perhaps Serena uses some magical tampering with her past partners' memories. Don’t be fooled. When this little shy elf lets her hair down…Let’s just say her talents reach beyond the intellectual.
