Hooch Bucket Redesign and Rerelease

Comments

anyone in the community able to redesign the hoocho metric mini bucket so it fits with a DN100 EU pip with a 50mm outlet and 50mm inserts for the plants?

Jay

If I’m planning on getting a 3D printer specifically for the hooch bucket, what is the minimum size required ?

Frederik-Andre Savard

For not sticking (and I assume no glue), try raise bed temp to 80. Holes/weak spots sounds like too much moisture in the filament (dry the roll in the oven), or under extrusion (change the Flow Rate for the filament to 1.01, especially worthwhile on petg imo).

Mike Anthony

Nah I’ve never touched the plate, or the settings. that’s strange. Might be different temps/ humidity. Go with a brim.

Mitchell Tomkins

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried again using the stock gold build plate without a brim, and it immediately came loose. I even washed it with soap and water beforehand thinking maybe it had factory goo on it or something. Do you prep the plate at all?

Jay Weden

I wouldn’t use the old file, that’s why the new ones were created. The new file will print with stock settings Use 20° tree supports to stop aesthetic failing at the peak. No need for a brim on the textured pei But brim if you want to be safe.

Mitchell Tomkins

Hoocho, I just got my Bambu P1S set up and printed a Hooch bucket (the old 2x3 file, I think) with PETG, a .4 nozzle and default settings except for adding a brim. The setting I used was "0.20mm Standard @BBL X1C" with Layer Height: .2 and initial layer height: .2. Although it did print, the bucket is not useable because of holes and really weak spots. Do you have some suggestions on settings to get some beautiful Hooch Bucket prints? Thanks!

you expect me to read directions!

You need to read the first pinned post

Mitchell Tomkins

why do you post these as one big file? What do I need to do to take them apart into singles

Henry Shilling

Would be lovely to see a metroc version for EU. If you need the measurements could provide and test it.
