Comments

Forgive them, they’re just brainwashed. I am a recovering Democrat. You just repeat the talk tracks they give you and don’t question authority, ideas, media. But I love Mackenzie & respect her views. So this isn’t a dig against her! Just want to make that clear after reading some nasty comments about her in this feed.

Maria N

PLEASE continue with the politics ESPECIALLY with our dear Mackenzie Green who has a communication style so uniquely perfect for our millennial brains, I can’t wait to listen to her pop off every week. Do what feels right and true to your brand and business, Tay. As a listener since 2012 I’m here for the growth!

Samantha Madrid

Samantha Madrid

You have got to be kidding! Give me a break, indeed. Mackenzie has probably accomplished more in this calendar year than most people could dream of doing!

Lori

Why do you do that?

Lori

I’ve thought this about so many of the episodes with Mackenzie, but I really wish the discussion around the debate was available to share to everyone I know regardless of if they pay… which I know is not the point of having a paywall podcast 😂, but it’s just so good!!! I’m also shocked how many people who listen to this amazing podcast have such opposite opinions of Taylor and Mackenzie (and me). Like who are you? And how can you like this show and support trump? 🤔

Lindsay Graham

TDS. The only people that are better off are illegal migrants and war mongers. Be so real. Get educated, outside of your echo chamber.

Angela Grant

Sometimes I count how many times Ms. Green (e) references race… last episode I heard her it was 5 times in 3 mins….

Erin Sandy

Avery, MacKenzie’s parents lived with her in her apartment so she and her mom could take care of her father when he was sick. How low to attack a co-host with things that aren’t even true. We try to let this be an open forum, but some people in the comments are very close to crossing, or have crossed our community guidelines. We won’t hesitate to cancel subscriptions. Consider this a warning. It’s one thing to debate politics, but quite another to attack a co-host personally and we will not stand for it.

Taylor Strecker

In all fairness, she does not live with her parents. She is a successful woman in business who has an apartment that has room for her parents when they come to visit.

Marge

You’re a straight up racist….just own it because we all see you

Linda K DePetro

I read some of these comments and I let them marinate for awhile and I’m enraged. When you reduce accomplished women of color to “childless cat ladies.” You’re straight up racist. Maybe own up to it because we all see you

Linda K DePetro

I love you McKenzie and this episode was fantastic

Linda K DePetro

Im so much better off!

Linda K DePetro

Loved this episode! Thank you Tay and MG.

DEANNA S.

I love you ladies. 🩷

V

Actually I listen to this show for everything: including the very minimal (in the grand scope) political discourse. 🥰

V

Who invited JD Vance to the party? Sofa king awkward.

Meghan

Some of these other comments are giving turkey vibes…just saying lol

Katie Quinn

In all earnestness, I want to thank TS and TD for allowing this space for discussion. However polarized it may be, it’s clear some have a need to blow off steam/be heard, and it’s generous for the show to permit that here. Also - as said before - America is based on its being a free marketplace of ideas, so it’s good to see that alive and well. (And to hear it, too!)

Sarah Lake

Wow these comments. Move over Bravo and Kate Bosworth, there's a new topic that some of the listeners can't handle!

Jillian L

So if Kamala was convicted of 34 felonies nobody would consider that in her fitness for office? What about if she spewed dangerous conspiracy theories? Or said people wouldn’t have to vote again once she’s elected because she will “fix” the system? You give ME a break. Pure hypocrisy.

Lauren

Respectfully, people do not listen to you for your politics rather an escape from the chaos and propaganda. So please stop. That said, you get what you vote for. We all probably have much more in common than not but you have to ask yourself, are you better off now than four years ago? The answer is very clear.

Angela Grant

And I’m sure those only listening to Fox should be voting as well? Ha!

Jessica

What are you talking about? She doesn’t live with her parents, is an obviously very successful woman (based on all of her education and work experiences), and has a lot of insight about all of this because of her background.

Jessica

Mackenzie is a 30 something, single, childless woman who still lives with her parents. Why would anyone take any advice from her? What’s her expertise in? Being a NEPO baby?! Gimme a break.

Avery

I do not care how Taylor Swift is voting. I do not care how Taylor Strecker and Taylor Donahue are voting. I still do not know if I am even going to vote. I do not like EITHER candidate. People listen to you because you have always said it's a safe space for everyone. You alienated many listeners with this podcast, which saddens me. I support your vote, but you made a huge mistake (or perhaps an intentional decision) by discussing politics when you have always said you would not. As far a s MacKenzie is concerned, I love her on the show when she is not talking down to us. Keep it fun and light. Don't we all need more fun and light during this time?

clconner

Mine too!! He still does!

Erin Sandy

Tracy, for a second, I thought your comment was about Biden… an incoherent disgrace that speaks nonsense

Mark J

Why not listen to her? If anyone of the cohosts has any real credibility in politics and policy, it’s her. It’s strange that she’s getting singled out when none of the other co-hosts are criticized for their unfavorable views on Trump. Seems like some people just can’t handle expertise when it doesn’t match their biases.

Tracy K

It's not about shaming you for being a Republican; it's about calling out the actions and policies that are actually shameful. The shame blame game is getting old. If you’re feeling shamed, maybe it’s because there’s truth in the criticism of the party’s actions.

Tracy K

Kamala Harris is held to a much higher standard. She’s under constant scrutiny, while Trump is a walking contradiction and incoherent disgrace, yet his party keeps rationalizing his nonsense as if it’s normal. It’s mind-boggling how they excuse his behavior, especially when any Democrat who even slightly missteps would face major backlash. The double standards are pretty glaring.

Tracy K

Looks like a nerve has been struck today. If you're feeling alienated, well, too bad! The Republican Party has been making plenty of us feel alienated for years with divisive rhetoric, lies, hate-mongering, and policies that disregard so many communities. It’s not so fun when the shoe is on the other foot, but that’s what happens when a party only serves the interests of a narrow group.

Tracy K

The fact that she didn’t win the Democratic nomination doesn’t discredit her qualifications or the work she’s done in public service. Plenty of accomplished leaders haven’t been their party’s first choice but still contributed meaningfully to the country. Dismissing her as if the respect she’s earned is irrelevant ignores the fact that being elected Vice President is an achievement in itself. She’s here to do the work, not fit into anyone’s narrow expectations.

Tracy K

It's interesting that to criticize Taylor Swift, a celebrity, for sharing political opinions due to her wealth and status, but many people who support political figures like Donald Trump—who is also an out-of-touch billionaire—don't seem to have the same concerns. If we dismiss someone's perspective just because they are rich or famous, shouldn't that apply across the board, including politicians? At the end of the day, everyone, regardless of status, has the right to voice their opinions. The responsibility is on each of us to gather information from various sources and make informed decisions based on what we believe is best for ourselves and our communities, not just blindly following any figure, whether they are a celebrity or a politician

Tracy K

Yes!! Especially with MacKenzie😒

Sarah Welsh

Also, MacKenzie mimicking gay voices and talking about “sodomy”. Very rich coming from a person who would flip her lid if anyone even thought about mimicking a black person. The hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Mark J

Kamala is being held to a higher standard? The opposite actually… she’s being held to the MINIMUM standard given no one even wanted her to run in the first place. She was the worse case scenario candidate that the democrats (Nancy Polosi, Obama) were forced to concede to. Give me a break

Mark J

Kamala Harris was barely respected enough to get the democratic nomination FROM HER OWN PARTY. Now they wanna act like she’s the savior? Please

Mark J

The fact that TTSS has only liked comments that support their view just shows this is a big echo chamber..

Mark J

Yep call me ignorant without even knowing me based on my political views. Continue to prove my point…. Thank you

Mark J

Love Mackenzie episodes! 👏🏼

Amelia

Honestly if hearing that Taylor Swift supported Kamala Harris swayed anyone’s vote whatsoever, they shouldn’t be voting in the first place.

Avery

Thank you for having Mackenzie on to talk about the debate! I love her takes and she articulates exactly what I’m thinking a lot of the times!

Enrique Galvan

Also, let's collectively decide to do this to people who don't return shopping carts.

Sarah Lake

That’s what they said about Roe V. Wade…

Lori

It must be generational 🤣

Taylor Strecker

Tell us a policy that Trump specifically laid out.. or does having a concept of a plan suffice? Kamala is being held to a much higher standard than Trump. He rambled on about nonsense and was barely ever on topic.

Lauren

Bless your own, Sweetie.

Avery

Bless your heart.

Meghan

I didn’t !

Lindsey Holman

So random but my dad also road rage yelled “turkey!” I thought he was the only one. Lol

Katie Quinn

lol!

Taylor Strecker

If Kamala gets cheated in, none of us will have anything to worry about when all the illegal immigrants with protected status kill us. So that’s a plus. We’ll all be dead.

Avery

Please don't with the politics

clconner

On the highway, I once got a big frown and double thumbs down from someone. I wasn't intentionally being a jerk, but I didn't see their blinker and they were trying to get in my lane. Although I did feel a little bad, it made me LOL so hard!!

Jillian L

Except it’s not. But, respectfully, maybe your ignorance of how much is at risk explains why you could ask folks not to speak out? https://glaad.org/gap/donald-trump/

Meghan

I’d LOVE for literally anyone to tell us exactly what policy or question Kamala specifically answered. I’ll wait….

Avery

I loved loved this episode!!!

Leslie Weaver

Right. Talk about an un-educated heard of sheep if they need Taylor to tell them who to vote for. The last people we need voting…

Mark J

Someone else’s influence should have no bearing on which way you vote. Did you even read what you typed??

Avery

If as an American citizen you were waiting to hear who Taylor Swift was voting for before making your own decision, I fear we have bigger problems. The ONLY responsibility a celebrity holds is encouraging people to make sure they are registered to vote and reminding them to get out and vote. An out of touch celebrity worth over 1 billion dollars has no place telling anyone what is best for them or their family. You all need to really take several seats and also need to majorly grow up.

Avery

I’ve had enough. I can’t with this show’s spreading of misinformation. Bussy is NOT butt pussy. It’s Boi-Pussy (or Boy Pussy). Usually used by twinks - that was accurate MacKenzie.

Rolando Nieves

This is a bit dramatic…

Mark J

Agree. But you have to admit, there is shame cast on people if they say they’re republican. Just listen to the episode…

Mark J

With this election, the rights of her listenership - and cohosts, and loved ones, including her and her wife - are uniquely at risk. The stakes this round are too high for anyone of influence to remain silent. Sorry. #worldsmostmediuminfluencer

Meghan

Best friends listen to each other's points of view, and even if they don't agree with each other, the love remains!

Tabitha Lahr

Taylor saying "hooked on P-honics worked for me" made me cackle so hard! Looking forward to finishing this on my drive home...love TS and MG 💜

Tracy K

Then don’t!

Kate Hergott

As a republican-leaning listener (doesn’t mean I like trump or agree with EVERY SINGLE policy), this episode is pretty alienating. I listen to this show as an escape, so bringing in politics (especially one sided politics) is disappointing. And I feel like it goes against Taylor’s brand as “everyones best friend”

Mark J

Yep …just reading the title made me not want to listen

Lindsey Holman

Just started the episode. Prediction: MacKenzie is going to rip into Trump and sing praises for Kamala, despite Kamala not directly answering any questions about policy. Hope I’m wrong (maybe this is why politics should stay out of TTSS).

Mark J

😂😂😂 my dad used to shout “Turkey” at bad drivers too.

Alli Howes

Totally gonna start doing this.

Sarah Lake

RE: road rage. If someone cuts me off or is being a general asshole I’ll give them a exaggerated frown and big thumbs down. it’s almost more hurtful than flipping them off.

Kelsey brookner

Yeah Miss Green🎉
